Is this a real theremin?
It is a theremin-style instrument and more. Like a theremin you play it without touching anything, but WeldSynth adds chord degrees, three waveforms, and multi-layer loop recording that no browser theremin offers.
Do I need to download anything?
No. WeldSynth runs entirely in your browser. Open the page, allow camera access, and play. Video is processed on-device and never leaves your browser.
Can I record what I play?
Yes — that is the difference. Record up to four layers, weld them into a single loop, and export WAV with WeldSynth Pro. Free tier includes single-layer performance and 15-second share clips.
What browsers are supported?
Chrome and Edge are recommended. Any modern browser with Web Audio API and camera access works.
