FAQ
What is an air instrument?
An instrument you play by moving your hands in the air. WeldSynth tracks both hands through your webcam: left hand picks chord degrees, right hand shapes tone and volume.
Is my camera video uploaded?
Never. Hand tracking runs on-device in your browser. Video never leaves your machine — there is no server-side processing at all.
Can I use it without a camera?
Yes. Mouse Mode maps pointer position to filter and volume, with an on-screen degree strip for chords. Same synth engine, no camera required.
Does it work on my phone?
WeldSynth is designed for desktop browsers in landscape. Chrome or Edge on a laptop gives the full two-hand experience.
