What is WeldSynth?
WeldSynth is a browser-based gesture synth. You play chords with hand gestures tracked by your webcam, record up to four layers, weld them into a loop, and export WAV audio for your DAW.
Does WeldSynth export WAV?
Yes. WeldSynth is the only browser gesture synth that exports lossless PCM16 WAV — mixdown or per-layer stems, DAW-ready.
How do I export audio?
After recording layers, click Export to download a WAV file. Pro users can export per-layer stems as a ZIP for mixing in a DAW.
How many layers can I record?
Four layers per Weld. Stack, weld, and fuse them into a single track.
Do I need any special gear?
No. Your webcam is the only sensor. No gloves, no controllers, no downloads.
Is my video sent to a server?
No. Camera processing happens locally. Video never leaves your browser.
Can I use it on iPhone?
iOS Safari 16.4+ is supported. Older iOS versions get the full Mouse Mode experience.
Can I use it without a camera?
Yes. Mouse Mode lets you play without a webcam — click to trigger notes and control expression. Camera tracking is optional and happens locally in your browser.
What's the difference between WeldSynth and a browser theremin?
Theremins play one note at a time. WeldSynth plays chords, records four layers, welds them into a track, and exports WAV.
Is it free?
Single-layer performance is free. Multi-layer Weld and WAV export are Pro — $14.99 once or $3.99/month.
Is this the official WeldSynth site?
Yes. gesture-synth-weld.online is the official WeldSynth site. WeldSynth runs in your browser — there is no desktop app or separate download.
Can I use the export in Ableton?
Yes. Export WAV and drag it into any DAW. PCM16, DAW-ready, with per-layer stems on Pro.
Can I add my voice or an external mic?
WeldSynth never requests your microphone by default. You can explicitly enable it in Settings → VOICE to sing or speak over your loops — your voice is mixed locally in your browser, goes only into your recordings and exports, and can be switched off at any time.
